PURPOSE

Bone is the body's most underestimated organ. It makes blood, instructs immunity, and in disease becomes the place where cancer is hardest to reach. Understanding how that happens at the cellular and molecular level, is our work.

who we are

Bone Organ Modeling & Regeneration is a research group at Lund University's Faculty of Medicine, affiliated with the Wallenberg Centre for Molecular Medicine, the Lund Stem Cell Center, and the Lund University Cancer Centre.

Clinical translation of the OssiGel bone graft technology

Dhalion Biotech AB is the lab's spin-off company, co-founded by Paul Bourgine to bring the OssiGel bone matrix technology toward clinical application. It is the translational arm of the lab's regenerative graft research, addressing the reconstruction of large bone defects.

The Bourgine Lab works within an international network of academic and industry partners. Collaborations span clinical centres, research universities, and biotechnology companies across Europe and beyond bringing complementary expertise in haematology, immunology, materials science, and clinical translation.nd more.
