Who we are

This website belongs to Bone Organ — Modeling & Regeneration (Bourgine Lab), the Laboratory for Cell, Tissue and Organ Engineering.

The lab is a research group within Lund University. Under the GDPR the formal data controller is Lund University (org. no. 202100-3211, VAT SE202100321101). For anything about this website, write to us directly at paul.bourgine@med.lu.se. You can also reach the University's data protection officer at dataskyddsombud@lu.se.

What we collect

Contact form. Your first name, last name, email address, institution and message. We use it only to read and answer your enquiry. Submissions are stored in our website platform and forwarded to lab members by email.

Technical data and cookies. Our platform records data such as your IP address, browser and pages visited, in order to run the site securely. Non-essential cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner.

Our team. The site publishes names, photos and research information of lab members as part of presenting our work.

We do not run a newsletter, we do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Why we may do this

We process this data to carry out our public research mission (Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR), and on the basis of your consent for non-essential cookies (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Who else sees it

Our website platform, Wix.com Ltd, processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Data may be processed outside the EU/EEA under an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Because the lab is part of a Swedish public authority, messages sent to us may be official documents that the public can request to read, unless they are protected by secrecy rules.

Dhalion Biotech AB, mentioned elsewhere on this site, is a separate company and handles its own data. This policy does not cover it.

How long we keep it

Contact form messages are erased within 12 months unless they have lasting relevance, in which case they are kept in line with Lund University's records management plan and the Swedish Archives Act.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected, or ask for erasure, restriction or objection, within the limits set by Swedish public records legislation. You can withdraw consent for cookies at any time.

Write to us at paul.bourgine@med.lu.se.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (imy@imy.se, www.imy.se).

Changes

We update this page when the site or our processing changes. The date above shows the current version.
